Used in Candlelight manip

Someone wanted to know what my sources were for my "Jamie and Claire - Candlelight" photo maipulation. ([link]) Well, here they are..

For Jamie I'm modifying Gabriel Aubry's face (changing his eyes, hair and mouth). Jamie's hair came from the photo of Travis Fimmel (hair color changed, of course). For Claire, it's Keri Russel (changing eyes, nose, mouth and hair color).

The base photo came from a scene in Rob Roy, that so reminded me of scenes in Outlander.

To make my manip I had to knockout backgrounds, flip, rotate, resize and position all these images and then start painting... cause really, nothing lines up perfectly, and pieces are missing. I also had to make up a background and some foreground.

I added shadows and tried to make sure my light sources seemed consistent. (There is reflected light from the window and obvious and implied light from candles.) I also tweaked color a lot, because the skin tones needed to match and nobody had the right hair or eye color... Then I darkened the recesses of the room for more "mood."

When finished, I combined a couple of art effects in Photoshop to make it look more like a drawing and less like a photo... It's a scene of storybook characters, after all. Here's the final: [link]
